The Hour Before She Sleeps
Drawing from the intimacy of the last hours of the day, the project shows women behind closed doors. As the day unwinds, and the make-up is removed, we confront that dreadful hour where we look at ourselves in the mirror asking questions.
As a female photographer, the hardest thing for me to photograph is women - Multi-faceted, sophisticated with all of their inhibitions, it is hard enough to photograph an ordinary stranger on the streets, lest be allowed into their homes.
The Hour Before She Sleeps was conceived along with the Exactly Foundation's Artist Residency programme.
It is an ongoing project. If you would like to be photographed for The Hour Before She Sleeps, please contact the photographer - firstname.lastname@example.org
